Ледовый полигон на озере Роутоярви близ п. Калевала

Долго ли, коротко ли, но мы сделали это — подготовили настоящий ледовый полигон. Львиную долю усилий взяли на себя ребята из "Велт – Карельские Путешествия". Синим обозначена кольцевая трасса протяженностью 2600 метров, коричневым — ледовая площадка 50х300 метров.

28-29 января мы провели здесь тест пяти мини-кроссоверов: Skoda Yeti, Volkswagen Tiguan, Ford Kuga, Fiat Sedici, Kia Sportage.

В нашем распоряжении на двое суток было все это ледовое царство, пять замечательных машин, два снегохода, прекрасная гостиница, баня, ресторан... Работа — как отдых!

Несмотря на изначально неплохую подготовку всех водителей, машины "теряли" нередко — сказывался недостаток опыта на скользких покрытиях. Но уж лучше убираться в сугроб на полигоне, чем на дороге общего пользования в... не дай Бог, короче.

Вечером нас развлекал местный фолклерный коллектив. Очень милые старушки, да и песни душевные!

Это не гусли. Это кантели, и звучит инструмент просто потрясающе.
